> Sign in to DevHub with Vartari ID in your browser: the link lasts 10 minutes, the session 7 days, offline use up to 72 hours.

DevHub asks you to sign in with Vartari ID. Until you do, it shows only the sign-in screen and the MCP server stays off: the screen says "The MCP server is off until you sign in."

1. On the first start, the screen is titled "First start". Click **Sign in with Vartari ID**.
2. DevHub opens your browser on the Vartari ID sign-in page. Confirm the sign-in to DevHub there. DevHub never sees your password.
3. Go back to DevHub. The screen "Finish signing in in your browser" shows "Waiting for the confirmation in the browser" and how long the link is still valid. When the browser confirms, DevHub says "Connecting the account…" and moves on by itself.

While DevHub waits, three buttons are available: **Open the browser again**, **Copy link** (to open the link in another browser) and **Cancel**.

## How long it lasts

| What | How long |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| The sign-in link | 10 minutes. After that DevHub says "The link expired" and offers **Sign in again**. |
| A session | 7 days. Then you sign in again in the browser. |
| Working offline | Up to 72 hours after DevHub last reached Vartari ID, and only while the session has not ended. |
| The warning | From 24 hours before the session ends, the main window says when it ends and offers **Sign in again**. The current session keeps working until the new one is confirmed. |

Setting the computer clock back does not extend any of this.

## When it does not work

- "This account cannot use Vartari DevHub." The account has no access to DevHub. Write to support@vartari.com.
- "Signing in did not work": DevHub did not get a confirmation from the browser. Click **Sign in again**.
- "The session expired": click **Sign in again**.

## Sign out

Settings > Account and plan shows the account, the plan and when the session ends, with **Refresh session** and **Sign out**. After signing out, or when the session ends, DevHub returns to the sign-in screen at once and the MCP server stops. Next time the screen says "Welcome back" and offers **Sign in again**.

> **Caution:** After you install a new version of DevHub, the first start needs an internet connection. A version
> installed while offline has no permissions until it has been online once.
